Happiness to your pet is not what you think that it is.  Your dog thrives on your love, attention and his basic needs being met by you as you are his favorite person with the last key to offering your dog a full life being his ability to make you happy.  Yet, you have no true way of knowing if your pup is happy because he is unable to smile or talk to you.  Have you noticed, though, that he wags his tail?  Tail wagging in canines is not a wise tale that someone made up regarding whether or not an animal is happy.  If you have observed your friend, you may have noticed that when he seems frightened, shocked or stressed that his tail tends to be tucked between his hind legs.  There is a reason for that, his tail only wags when he is comfortable and pleased with his surroundings. Dogs enjoy and thrive on routine.  Actually, many people wonder if their animal has a clock in his head.  They are dumbfounded by the way that their dog seems to know when they should wake-up, when it is time to go to bed, and when their favorite child should be home from school.  Furthermore, they seem to schedule their entire lives.  Part of properly training a puppy is to put him on a routine and continue that schedule throughout his life.  If you offer your dog a strict regiment in his life, he will be happier and less destructive in the home as he grows up.  Especially, if you offer him daily walks and expected times that you play with him to look forward to.  But it is recommended that if you do not want to wake up at six in the morning every day, do not start your pet on that schedule from the beginning.
